Funkmouth is the online home of the combined musical efforts of DJ Funken Wagnalls and Cottonmouth, MC. This DJ/MC combo has been making beats and rhymes since 2000 as an early Internet-based duo. One of the earliest examples of nerdcore hip hop, the good DJ and his faithful companion have covered topics ranging from the history of science fiction literature to the world of plant pathogens. Mixing influences from classic literature and contemporary pop science, as well as beats and samples from acoustic instruments and generational software, the eclectic tracks keep coming and coming.
